Rosaspata

My new sector :) It´s beautiful! I love it so much. I still miss Cusco, but Sicuani is growing on me. One of the Elders that was in my district from the CCM is in my sector now! It´s funny to see how much we´ve both changed, especially with the Spanish, when it feels like I got to Peru about a week ago.

I don´t know, not much to report right now. We´re just out working hard and loving every minute of it!

Oh! One of the young women told me that I am beautiful and look like I belong in a Disney Princess movie. That kinda made my whole week, especially when I generally just feel like a chubster every day. #fatforthewin

Our pensionista and her family are adorable, and I love them. I really miss the Familia Rojas, but at least our new pensionista is awesome too.

Hope you all have a wonderful week! I love and miss you bunches!

Me and our pensionista´s puppy that kinda looks like a little teddy bear. It´s hard to get dogs to participate in pictures.

My pensionista, Carmen, and my comp Hna Fernández. I love them both.

I love playing with our pensionista´s puppy. She´s such a cutie.

Hna Fernández thought I couldn´t put that whole cucumber in my mouth. I did. And then I felt like a (fat) champion.

(Kelly here. How in the HECK does this girl feel like a fatty?? Sigh)

I`m Leaving Cusco #Changes

And I`m 100% heartbroken. Cusco has my entire heart and at this point I`m kinda nervous. But also excited. I`m going to SICUANI! My companion is going to be Hna Fernández, and Gonzalez 2 just told me that she`s ALSO from Argentina... I`m starting to notice a pattern here... I`ll let you know how all that stuff is next week :) Right now I`m just upset that I have to say goodbye to the people, my sector, and pack all of my stuff. I have a lot of stuff. And packing is the worst.

On a less I`m-Super-Panicked Note: One of our investigators, Diana, WANTS TO GET BAPTIZED! We challenged her with a date and everything!! Now I`m just praying she`ll keep up with her date. She`s so amazing. She came to church this week and everything. That`s something we`ve been working on since she has a four year old and a one year old. Mornings are hard for her. But she came! I`m so thrilled.

Well, I`m a little emotionally overwhelmed :) But also excited, for everything except the packing! I know that as much as I don`t want to leave Cusco, Sicuani is what I need, and there`s someone there who needs me, too. I trust the Lord, and Presidente Harbertson :) They know what they`re doing. And man, I`ve never loved missionary work more than I do right now.

Con todo mi amor,
Hna Hill

(Kelly here. I'm guessing this is President Harbertson)

(No guesses as to who the girl is with the gun) :)

Separate email/side note:

One of my zone leaders, Elder Nicholls is finishing his mission tomorrow. He`s from Washington, but for some reason he`s going to be in Salt Lake a couple days after he gets home. And he said he`d be totally willing to bring you guys the paintings I bought! If I end up going to the jungle, they`d get destroyed. And plus, paintings just need their frames. They don`t do so well without them. AND one of them is for mom and the other, if they want it, is for Dad and Valerie. And the other two are for me. Since I`m taking up space in Elder Nicholls´ suitcase, I`m only sending the paintings And an envelope of letters for you guys. Tell the kids sorry :) Also, I`m sending Elder Nicholls to dad´s house, cause it`s closer than Riverton. When he gives them to you, thank him at least a hundred times for me! He`s been my zone leader since I got to the field and in my district for most of that time. he`s a super cool guy. How weird to think that when I got here he had six months left and now he`s going home. I feel like I`ve been here for a week. And now I have less than a year left. Eew.

Oh. His name is Jourdan Nicholls. I`m giving him dad`s cell number too, so he can text or call or whatever. Just so you know who you`re talking to. Thank him so many times for me! Also, let me know when you get the paintings, take pictures if you`d like, because you guys always do. And tell him I said Hey!

Love you mom and dad! Miss you!

(Kelly here: SUPER DUPER EXCITED!!!!!!!! I'm in love with the paintings she bought for herself and I can't wait to see what she picked for me. Those Peruvians are talented! And the colors .... Oh! The colors.)

Hi. (Picture me saying that like Stitch does in the beginning of Lilo & Stitch. Just because I love that movie.)

Totally forgot to write a group email because I was responding individually to all of you. And now we`re going to go Zone PDay it up. So just know I`m happy, I love and miss you all, and that there`s really no better work than what I`m doing right now. I love the gospel!

Oh. Last pday Hna Condie was here and we went on a bus tour of Cusco. I liked it. And I got super sunburnt. Good times.

I love you guys. I miss you guys. I hope that you have a GREAT week. I LOVED skyping you guys yesterday! I know I cried the WHOLE time, but it was a good cry. Also, Hna Gonzalez 2 thinks you guys are cool. And that the sibs are a crack up. No surprise there. Thanks for inviting more family. That was so fun to see everyone :)

LOVE YOU!

Mum's Day Skype!!!

(Kelly here)

This was the best Mother's Day I've ever had! The boys spoiled me and my girl Skyped us for one hour and ten minutes!! She's learned Spanish in just six short months, is happier than she's ever been, and continues to make my heart swell each day. She's happiest when serving the Lord and I'm so proud of her. She bore her testimony in Spanish and I recorded it. A friend of mine was sweet enough to translate it for me and I'll put the text below. What a great day!

I'm unable to load the video. Grrrr. Here is what the girl said:

"I'm very grateful for the time I've had here, and for the opportunity to be a missionary because the most important thing in my life is the gospel, and I wouldn't be able to do anything without it. I'm glad I can share the gospel with all these people and share this message. I know my Savior lives. I know Christ was born, lived, suffered, and was resurrected for us. With Him, we can do anything. I can't explain how I feel about it because it's the most important and beautiful thing in my life. I love my Savior, and the chance to be a missionary. I love this church, and I have the opportunity to be with my family forever. I love all these things and I can't explain my feelings very well because I can't find the words. I love this work and I wouldn't change it for the world and I don't want to leave. I share these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

I`m Seriously Running Out of Clever Things

Since I`ve been a little under the weather this week, nothing happened. Like at all.

And I didn`t take any pictures.

So here`s one from a couple weeks ago. Me and The Beatles in Peru :)

Now I`m going to take some long overdue time to respond to those of you who write to me all the time. Sorry I`m a sucky email-er.

Con amor,
Hna Hill
